Across all 20 sites, these are the most frequently flagged performance issues by the Lighthouse audit engine.
Based on audit patterns, here are the highest-impact optimizations Ghanaian web teams should prioritize โ ranked by prevalence and potential gain.
Google PageSpeed Insights API v5, powered by Lighthouse 11. Industry standard for web performance measurement.
All audits run in mobile mode โ the most relevant simulation for Ghana where mobile internet dominates (~80% of users).
Lighthouse simulates a mid-tier mobile connection (150 Kbps download, 675ms RTT) โ representative of typical Ghanaian mobile conditions.
Audits were run in April 2026. Results reflect one-time lab data and may vary with time of day and site updates.
20 high-traffic Ghanaian sites selected across 4 sectors: News, Banking/Finance, E-Commerce/Tech, and Government/Education.
Performance score is a weighted composite of FCP, LCP, Speed Index, TBT, and CLS โ all measured by Lighthouse.
INP (Interaction to Next Paint) requires real user interaction to measure and is not available via Lighthouse lab simulation. This is why the INP column shows N/A for all 20 sites. CWV pass/fail is still evaluated on LCP and CLS โ the two metrics Lighthouse can simulate. INP field data is available via Chrome UX Report (CrUX) for sites with sufficient real-user traffic.
